I remember the day when Moses to our people came again

That He’d save us was a promise we could not forsee,
And His miracles and power truly set us free.

We set off on our journey feeling free at last,
But the Red Sea almost hindered us running from the past.

God Himself would go before us in a cloud that floated high
And as the day turned into night, the cloud turned into fire.
Then, the next day, in the morning, Moses stretched his hand
And suddenly a strong wind turned the Red Sea into land.

What a miracle has happened- the waters split away
And each and every Israelite safely crossed that day.

Furious Egyptian soldiers chased us through the sea,
Pharaoh had changed his mind about our liberty.
But when Moses, over waters, once more stretched his hand,
Waves rushed down on enemies by the Holy Lord’s command.
