BMAC converged with the National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC), United by Equity (UBE), U.S. Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) Movement and Why We Can’t Wait National Reparations Coalition at Capitol Hill on November 29 for a historic event, hosting Reps. Barbara Lee, Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, Jamie Raskin and Senator Cory Booker for a congressional briefing. They collectively shared and discussed their various efforts to advance racial equity and reparative justice legislation. It marked the first time in history that Congressional and Senate leaders joined forces to fight for racial justice.
