SteamRail Victoria operated a 3 night/day Weekender Tour Melbourne to Swan Hill and then on to Echuca for the Echuca Steam Rally before returning to Melbourne over the June 2014 Long Weekend with steam locomotive R 761 and sleeping cars.
This tour had been marketed as a double header with two R class Steam Locomotives but sadly a T class diesel was used as the second instead. It was however a good weekend away with steam
