Raelyn is the best melee hero and is the best hero at tanking hits.
In the beginning waves on these maps, I have to be extremely careful with Beresead & Eiskalt or they will faint. With Raelyn however, there is no concern even at only level 7.
Against the boss, there is not anything Raelyn can do besides slowing the boss by tanking his hits. The boss moves slower when he attacks.
I believe that she is either the third or fourth best hero in stadium. It is a toss up between her and Magnus. She is my 2nd favorite hero to use behind Diedre.
