Prime Minister, a modern public transport system is being launched in Gujranwala. A 31.2 km long completely signal-free yellow line is being built from Aimanabad to Gakhar. Four underpasses, 24 underground stations and two modern depots are being constructed in this corridor.Electric and air-conditioned buses, Wi-Fi, wheelchair facilities and CCTV monitoring will make the journey safe and comfortable. A digital fare system will be introduced through smart cards and 70 electric feeder buses will cover passengers from all over the city.This project, at a cost of Rs. 63 billion, will be completed in 12 months, providing modern and dignified travel facilities to thousands of citizens every day.
