Welcome or welcome back to another episode all about beautifiul and mysterious Cornwall, Kernow. In this episode I am going to tell you of a place very close to my heart & infused with my family history... Crantock. Crantock is a most gorgeous little village on the North coast of Cornwall, sitting happliy in a small valley with a winding road that leads all the way down to the dunes, and once over these falling down to the River Gannel. Following the river leads to a wide expanse of softest golden sand and turquoise sea. Haunting caves border the edge of the beach with dark slate and rock pools full of colour. There are many folklore tales to tell of this ancient place... who is the mystery lady of the cave? What happened to the lost land of Langarrow? What the heck is the Crake and why does it haunt the river? Who was the rogue who was the last man in the stocks? Please do join me as we wander the village and beach and share stories of Crantock.
