Tread Plate Knight Armor showcase!!!

In this video, I show you how I get armed as if I was a 15th century knight suiting up in Germanic Kastenbrust style armor. This type of armor is from the first half of the 15th century and the name “Kastenbrust” translates to “box breast” I didn’t even know this design existed until someone in my comments pointed out how one of my cardboard builds looked like it! When I did some more research, it started to grow on me and kept that in the back of my mind so whenever it came time to build my first metal curiass I knew which was the perfect shape to approach while still maintaining a historically accurate figure. This was easily the most expensive and time-consuming project I’ve ever made on this channel besides my T-51 power armor… yet still I had so much fun making this. It gave me an opportunity to weld for the first time and make my first metal knight harness!!!! unfortunately I was limited to only using aluminum tread plate because I needed big sheets to acquire a large pieces of plate armor. That’s all my hardware stores had to offer besides the smaller pieces of 18 gauge steel, which I used for smaller parts
of the harness. On the bright side the tread pattern looks pretty post apocalyptic and kind of reminds me of the fluting in Gothic styled armor from the 15th century.
