The Raytheon RC3403 is an op amp famous in the guitar/pedal community for its use in the earliest Boss OD-1 circuits. Much discussion abound of how those early versions sound different than the later iterations.

I happened to acquire a Boss GE-6 that had two of these chips, one of them not working fully. And after playing around with it in my breadboard overdrive circuit, it did feel like it had a unique tone.
So we are going to compare the overdrive breakup tones of the RC3403 against 7 other op amps. 3 quad op amps with classic circuits, and 4 dual op amps that are standards in the pedal community
