BIG MUFF comparison Triangle PI vs OP-AMP PI

This is a comparison of two electro-harmonix Big Muffs, a Triangle PI and the OP-AMP PI.

I created a piece of music to demonstrate the Big Muffs on rhythm guitar, bass guitar and lead guitar.

I set the VOLUME of the OP-AMP Big MUff to match the Triangle PI (the OP-AMP is quieter) . I varied the TONE control at four different SUSTAIN levels with more sustain being added through the video until the SUSTAIN is at full at the end.

The OP-AMP PI Big Muff is a very different sounding Muff compared to the Triangle PI.

There is a second rhythm guitar part (at 01:26 and 03:33) that is not going through the Big Muffs. You can use this to guage how much the Big Muffs are changing the guitar sound as this is the same guitar / amp sound that is going into them (but playing a different part).

I used a fender USA stratocaster into a Marshall JTM-45 for the Big Muff parts and a fender mexican jazz bass DI'd.
