Stop Trying So Hard, No One Cares |wearing designer to impress others toxic flex culture luxury bags

Hi everyone, it's Eileen. For those of us who are into luxury items, we often justify paying more for the craftsmanship and heritage. But maybe, just maybe, there's a bit of desire to flex as well? While I don't buy designer pieces to show off, I did purchase certain items to validate myself and to cover up my insecurity. I remember when I finally got my first Hermes bag, it felt like a huge milestone-- ''I finally got the bag that everyone else dreams of getting, I've made it!" Or had I? The truth is, the younger me was very invested in impressing others and myself. I wanted to feel that I mattered, and I might have even secretly enjoyed the envy from others. So should we wear designer or buy luxury bags? I believe the answer lies in the intention. Luxury bags do generally have amazing craftsmanship, but if we're buying to impress, we'd always be one handbag away from our happiness xx
