Tie-Dye Tutorial / STAR-DALA T-Shirt / Liquid Dye Tutorial

Tie-Dye STAR-DALA Pattern T-Shirt Instructions.
1 - T-Shirt has been washed and soaked in soda ash (1 cup soda ash per 1 gallon of warm water) for 20 minutes then spun out in the washer so the material is damp but not dripping wet.
2 - Fold and pleat up the t-shirt following the video instructions.
3 - Secure with kite string.
4 - Choose your dye colors. For my colors I chose Chinese Red, Deep Orange, Lemon Yellow, Lime Green, Seashell Blue, and Deep Purple (All colors are interchangeable).
5 - Allow your project to sit undisturbed for 24 hours then rinse starting with cold water to remove the soda ash. Increase water temperature to warm/hot while squeezing the material to remove the excess dye.
6 - Remove the kite string and open your new STAR-DALA tie dye t-shirt!
7 - Wash t-shirt by itself with hot water (I use Synthrapol Textile Detergent) without fabric softener and hang dry for the first time. After that wash and dry like normal.
8 - HAVE FUN and as always...HAPPY TIE DYEING!
