Why not repaint, refinish, re-stain your drums yourself!
This is my old (20+ year old) Pearl Forum Series. It came wrapped in black thick plastic as most cheap beginner kits do.
I've always wanted a Navy Blue Drum set so....
I decided to strip it from the plastic, sand the wood, and stain it Navy Blue!
Home Depot has great color options if you want to attempt at home yourself!
I had way too much fun with this project and it only took about 2hrs per drum!
If you follow me on my IG channel you'll know that I finishes the floor tom and bass drum a couple years back but NOW it was time to find a better tom size for my set-up. I really wanted a smaller 10" and a 12" for my permanent setup. I finally found a good 10" tom for $40 bucks at my local Starving Musician !
This drum set came out beautiful!
