The McMahon Line is a border line between India and Tibet that was drawn up by British colonial officials in 1914. The line was proposed by Sir Henry McMahon, the British foreign secretary to Tibet, as a way to clarify the border between India and Tibet, which was then under Chinese suzerainty.
