Thornton Township, these are important times for our community. The Lansing Journal is compiling information on all the local candidates in all our local races SO THAT community members will have the information they need to vote confidently.

Drama in our community continues to escalate, but The Lansing Journal is focused on doing the work so that ordinary community members have the answers they need to take action. This is the third year we've provided a Voter Guide, and this 2025 edition is our most comprehensive yet.

In this video, Managing Editor Carole Sharwarko and Publisher Melanie Jongsma list many of the races that will be on the ballot on April 1. By compiling the relevant info and presenting it in print and online, The Lansing Journal is fulfilling our mission of keeping our diverse community informed and connected — for Election Day and every day.
