Historical old second empire home crumbling away and set for demolition for a new subdivision of Ryan’s homes and townhouses. The home is second empire architecture with a mansard roof and three stories of living space. The house features parquet floors and hand carved baseboards as well as a stunning unique wooden newel post. Built in the late 1800’s after the civil war between 1865-1870 for a wealthy farmer, the home is over a century old. It has sat vacant and crumbling away since sometime in the late 1980’s so over 30-40 years of neglect. Glad I could document this old place before it’s gone and a subdivision takes its place. Thanks for watching
