This is a textbook presentation of hypokalemia (low potassium) in a cat with renal failure. Notice that the cat is struggling to hold its head upright while walking. In this case this was due to chronic renal failure aka chronic kidney disease. This can also be due to other illnesses, especially with significant vomiting and anorexia. Treatment involves potassium supplementation until levels normalize, and treating the underlying disease process.
