Epic Iceland Road Trip | Svartifoss, Glacier Lagoon, Stokksnes and Fjadrárgljúfur [Episode 2]

Covering nearly 3.5 million acres and 14% of the total area of Iceland, Vatnajökull National Park has been added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites because it’s considered an outstanding representation of major stages of the earth's history. Vatnajökull, which translates to Glacier of Lakes, features ten volcanoes and a massive icecap that feeds its 30 smaller glaciers of varying sizes. The combination of those two opposing forces has given birth to some seriously magnificent scenery.

Vatnajökull was one of the stops on day two of my road trip around Iceland. But before that, I visited one of my absolute favorite and most unbelievable locations on my trip; Fjaðrárgljúfur. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen and it seems like something doesn’t even belong on this planet. The way the water has carved away at the rock over time has given the canyon this otherworldly shape.

On day 2, I visited Fjaðrárgljúfur, Svartifoss, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, and the unbelievable Stokksnes.
