In this little video I'd rather show you some movements of our wudang dragongate taichi & qigong only for you to watch and compare. Because many today still don't know what exactly Tai Chi and Qi Qgong is and what exactly distinguishes them from each other.
TAICHI: Is a martial- and movement art that derived out of the cultural context of Taoism (daoism) and today is spread as different styles all over the world. The popularity of Tai Chi comes from its variety of benefits. As a martial- and movement art it provide many different aspects for us: relaxation, concentration training, imrpovement of balance, better efficiancy and communication of the two sides of the brain, an elegant art of movement, self-defense, improvement of body postures as well as sensitivity training.
QIGONG: Is a meditation in movement. Often practiced as a sequence of movements, which provide holistic benefits for us and improve our overall health. The movements are mostly slow and mild and therefore good for the young and the elder. Because of it concentrated execution it is a ressource of fast recovery, relaxation, stress-relieve and well-being.
Concerning both arts there were many books publish and many yet to follow. But it would be best to try both yourself to really get know both.
