It's either pine, or Nordic Cherry.
This originally was going to be my April Fools video. A quick 30-second build of the side table that Michael Scott made that appeared in the "Dinner Party" episode of The Office. But then I started looking at it, analyzing it a little bit. Maybe Michael Scott was onto something but just didn't have the right tools & techniques to fully realize what he was envisioning. So I set to work to see if I could come up with my interpretation of what I think he may have been going for.
Nordic Cherry is not a real type of lumber unfortunately, so I started with some really nice Black Cherry for the legs. The cross members were made from yellow pine (so it's both pine AND "Nordic" cherry). Moreso for the aesthetics, I married the pieces together with some cherry dowels to simulate the look of the nails of the original table.
STATE OF THE CHANNEL: I'm in the home stretch of a lot of big life events. I've been on somewhat of a hiatus, leading up to the purchase of a house in Texas! I'll be moving across the country in June, so I'll have just about a month to make some more projects. Stick with me, there will be some great projects coming up once I get settled into my new space, but until then I have some smaller trinket things that I will be showcasing to remain at least a little bit active here on YouTube! Thank you for all the support!!
