Getting letters of recommendation can be daunting. Hopefully this video gives you guys more confidence or at least gets you started! Mystery City number 6 was not what I had planned because my flight was delayed, so I thought I would make something useful for you guys. I recommend diversifying your letters of rec. I personally had one from my Gen Chem professor, my Biochem professor, one from the coordinator of one of the programs where I was a Learning Assistant, and two dentists. If you go through committee or your school sends out a committee packet as long as you start the process, they will be able to send all the letters in a packet instead of the letter limit of three that most schools impose. If you complete committee you will also have a committee letter that will summarize your main letters PLUS they will include all the letters you've acquired. I only had the packet sent without the summary letter, because my school was taking quite a bit and I did not feel comfortable waiting so long. They were nice enough to at least release my letters as a packet.
Pay attention to some schools that will specifically ask for a volunteer coordinator's letter. If you don't include that and you apply, you are essentially throwing money away. Hope this helps!
