Lesser short nose fruit bats are very common in India and West Bengal as well as. They can be seen near human settlements. They feeds on Fruits, flower, nectar and obviously palm juice. Lesser short nose fruit bats are very good seed-disperser. They play an important role in bio-diversity. They become active after sunset.
One important thing is they never "echo-locate", they find their food by using their large eyes and strong sense of smell.
They are also part of this living world, so we should love them, care them and obviously protect them.
