The Conservatory of Flowers is one of my favorite places to visit in San Francisco and they have REOPENED! Come on a tour with me to see some of the huge collection of plants curated in these interconnected greenhouses. We’ll see a lot of Bulbophyllums and other orchids, the Medinilla magnifica in bloom, so many huge aroids, aquatic plants, multiple Amorphophallus titanium leaves, an enormous living wall full of mostly easily attainable houseplants, a little spontaneous plant shopping, and more! 🤩
I did my best to add names to plants that I mentioned specifically. If you’re wondering about a specific species or would like to contribute some plant IDs with timecodes, that would be most welcome!! Also please feel free to weigh in on any of my plant IDs, especially those big philodendrons if you think I got any wrong. (I feel like they're probably not all gloriosums but many didn't have visible ID tags and gloriosums can look really different in different growing conditions so I wasn't totally sure on all of those..)
