Hollywood doesn't include all the messy parts but does invent apparently charming moments that would actually be potentially terrifying and dangerous in real life.
I'm giving my glider pilot take on the level of realism of three films.
And don't get me wrong, a date in a glider is still a great idea! Done properly, gliding is a safe and beautiful sport. But just fly safely and don't do anything stupid to impress someone with your skills.
