June 20, 2025: The third event in a seminar series hosted by the Pandemic Center Biosecurity Game Changers Fellows: Regional policies on dual-use research and research involving pathogens of pandemic potential.
Convened and moderated by and intended for early-to-mid-career professionals, the Game Changers Seminar Series shines a spotlight on major challenges that will confront the next generation of biosecurity leaders and impactful next steps that can be taken to lean forward faster to prevent biological crises.
Who: The third seminar in this series is moderated by Sandra Matinyi, Biosecurity Game Changers Fellow and the Executive Director, Nuo Bioscience, Uganda.
The panel includes top experts in the field, including:
-- Peter Babigumira Ahabwe, Senior Technical Advisor at Makerere University’s Infectious Diseases Institute and Epidemic Intelligence Analyst at the Uganda National Institute of Public Health
-- Rym Benkhalifa, Research Biologist at the Laboratory of Biomolecules, Venom and Theranostic Applications and Head of the “Rodolphe Mérieux” BSL3 Laboratory, Pasteur Institute of Tunis
-- Jaures Noumedem, Biosafety and Biosecurity Technical Officer, Africa CDC
