20 New Deep Sea Creature Encounters Caught on Camera in Hawaii 2025 | Mega ROV Countdown

In April 2025, NOAA's new exploration of Hawaii's deepwater environments continues as we have a look at what they found thousands of feet below the surface-- from some truly bizarre animals to breathtaking coral, and a rare run-in with a "ginormous" solitary hydroid that amazed even the experienced ROV team.

A huge thanks to NOAA for not only conducting the incredible work they do, but for sharing their ocean exploration with the public in real time via their ROV livestreams. NOAA's work is so deeply important to humanity's understanding and appreciation of marine life, and they are doing a great service to the public-- both in the US and around the world-- by making their findings so readily available.
