How is Sweden doing, really? That's something many people are wondering. And it's not all good to be honest. January saw everything from shootings to sabotage, and things only escalated in February with snowstorms and even more violence.

But March had some positive things at last - a freak heat wave, weapons exports, and so on. And Sweden's currency is also going strong, and there was some war effort support sent to the village of Gammalsvenskby in Ukraine in April.

Then I'm of course mentioning things like Sweden's Eurovision Song Contest entry, Swedish music topping the billboard 200 chart, the Moonhouse, and a lot more.

There's a LOT more that happened in the second half of the year. Some tragic bus accidents, for example, and very high unemployment in Sweden. We mustn't forget about the Chicken Nugget Man, the upcoming elections in 2026, and the fact that a very famous Astrid Lindgren character turned 80 in 2025.
