How to Prepare for Transition: Pre-Handover Service

Dear All

Our last service will be on the 29th of October.

Afua and I want to express our gratitude to those who have subscribed and share the messages on this platform in faith that people will be brought to Christ or helped.

We also want to say how much we LOVE the Sydenham church! The last 11 years have been the best years of our lives. We are confident that as long as Christ is at the centre, we will see it through and come out better.

We welcome Pastor Emmanuel and Sister Ingrid as they take on the role and lead the church with God's grace to an even bigger and better future.

This service was prep for the transition as it was all new to us, and we wanted to know how best to navigate it and help each other pray.

This prayer is NOT a formula, it’s a basic skeleton to express in words what is happening in your heart. It’s to aid as a guide ... speak to God in your own Words if you prefer:

LORD, I admit I am a sinner. I need and want Your forgiveness. I accept Your death as the penalty for my sin and recognize that Your mercy and grace is a gift You offer to me because of Your great love, not based on anything I have done. Cleanse me and make me Your child.

By faith I receive You into my heart as the Son of God and as Saviour and Lord of my life. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day.

Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. From now on, help me live for You, with You in control.In Your precious name, Amen
