Trust people anyway. They might surprise you.

Here’s a simple moment that reminded me of something big.

I thought our helper had scratched the TV — and I immediately tensed up. I judged her based on past frustrations, her confusing answers, and my own habit of expecting the worst.

But when I looked closer, it wasn’t a scratch at all. Just a reflection. The story I was creating in my head? Completely false.

The lesson I shared in this Real Talk is this:
Sometimes, people surprise you.
Even when your guard is up. Even when history tells you to expect disappointment.

If we want to stop carrying stress unnecessarily, we’ve got to learn to release control and let people show us who they are now — not who we think they were.

Sometimes, they’ll surprise you.
