Hong Kong is a good place for shopping for fabric and craft supplies. If you sew, you may want to visit Sham Shui Po, an area that is full of wholesale and retail shops of accessories, fabric, lace, sewing supplies and tools, handicraft supplies and leather supplies. Prices are low with a variety of choices.
The area is easily accessible by the Mass Transit Railway (subway of Hong Kong). Get off at Sham Shui Po Station, leave the station at Exit A2, go straight in Pei Ho Street, walking pass all the hawker Street stalls, then you will hit Yu Chau Street. Turn left, that's the famous "Bead Street", where you could find different beads, ribbons, laces, buttons, parts for making costume jewellery.
If you continue to go straight, once you hit Nam Cheong Street, cross the road and turn right. You will arrive at Kei Lung Street, aka the "Fabric Street".
When there is no more travelling under COVID-19, visiting street market could be a staycation activity.
