Wix Domain Email Setup for HighLevel | Dedicated Sending Domain Without Breaking Your Site

If you've bought your domain through Wix and want to set up a dedicated sending domain for HighLevel emails, this one's for you. I’m Lisa Catto – a HighLevel Certified Admin and HighLevel Expert in the UK – and I’ll show you how to sort the DNS records without messing up your Wix website.

Wix doesn’t let you set MX records on subdomains, which creates a blocker when trying to send branded emails through HighLevel. You also can’t repoint your nameservers to something like GoDaddy or Cloudflare directly. So we work around it. In this walkthrough, I show how to use GoDaddy DNS hosting – no purchase needed – to replicate your Wix DNS records and set up what HighLevel needs.

This is ideal for HighLevel SaaS users, business automation setups, or agencies wanting full email control without changing where your website lives. You’ll copy your A and CNAME records, replicate any MX records, then initiate the transfer from Wix to GoDaddy if your domain is over 60 days old. That way, there's no interruption in service while HighLevel does its thing in the background.

1 – Create a free GoDaddy account
2 – Set up DNS hosting and copy all existing records (A, CNAME, MX) from Wix
A record: Host @ or blank, Points to: 185.230.63.107
CNAME: Host www, Points to: pointing.wixdns.net
3 – Transfer domain from Wix to GoDaddy when eligible (60+ days since purchase)
