Almost got stranded in FOREST visiting this resort in Wayanad!

We were so excited for this ride; our bike had just been serviced, and we fitted all our gear and luggage systems. It was almost a fully loaded bike that I (Tejas) was going to ride for the first time. I didn't feel anything on the highways, and the bike was so stable and planted, but it was a bit difficult to maneuver in traffic. I was super confident and excited when we saw the trails, even though it wasn’t the most comfortable ride. We love exploring places like these and facing challenges like this. We rode for about 2 km before our first fall, and the next fall happened just 500 m later, at the junction of a semi-tarred road and a rocky road. We fell into a ditch on the right, which was dug to allow water flow.
You can see my handle turn as soon as I entered the tarred section, and there was no space to save myself. The next thing we knew, we were on the ground, lifting ourselves up.

The main problem was how heavy the bike was; we couldn’t even lift it this time because the front wheel was in the ditch while the back wheel was out, and our skid plate was touching the ground. We thought there was going to be huge damage to the front. But thankfully, only the headlight was broken, everything else was intact, and the bike started without any issues.

We didn’t have any injuries, except for a bruise on Aish's bum. But our hearts sank when we learned that the headlight replacement would cost around 2 lakh rupees and might take 10 to 30 days! We might have to cancel our ride to the North.
