We had rode the first trip behind the ex-Reading T1 2101. After it ran as the American Freedom Train, it was painted as the Chessie Steam Special. The first trip ran on the out of Baltimore north to Philadelphia. When we arrived at the station that morning, they where still finishing up painting the smokebox door. The only run-by they did was coming off the Susquehanna River bridge at Harve De Grace MD. They did one at a low speed, then a track speed run-by. Ross Roland did a fine job of not going crazy with the whistle, like so many guys do for run-bys. The second clip is at Philadelphia after the 2101 was turned and heading back to the coachs for the return run to Baltimore. 5/14/1977
Thanks for watching.
