VOLVO EC750E High Reach Demolition Excavator

Due to the planned expansion of the Hospital - Buergerspital in Solothurn, a large part of the old hospital wing had to be removed. While another contractor took care of the actual demolition of the large buildings, JAVA's team was responsible for the removal of the remaining basement structures and foundations.

JAVA's massive VOLVO EC750E HR Excavator, which is VOLVO's largest Demolition Excavator available in a standardized High Reach - configuration, was the driving force behind the removal of the remaining walls and basement structures. A hydraulic lock mechanism installed at the boom of the EC750E HR, along with a quick coupler at the front of the stick, allow for a quick exchange of different boom combinations and work tools, such as sheas, pulverizers, buckets and grapples. The undercarriage of the EC750E HR can be extended to a gauge width of up to 4,3 meters, in order to provide for the necessary stability during demolition work, while its 30° - tilting cab allows the operator to get a good view of the work area during demolition work above ground level.

With a high degree of flexibility and the ability to carry out a variety of different jobs in space restricted areas like close to walls and structures, the VOLVO ECR235 EL Compact Excavator is equally important as a big demolition excavator. Due to its compact design, the ECR235 EL can quickly maneuver from one spot to another and perform a variety of different jobs with various tools, like demolition and clean-up work or separating of materials.
