In this video, I’ll show you how I create a multilayer plywood map of Lake St. Clair. The map features several layers representing different depths, with the top layer engraved with street names, the lake’s name, and a compass. I’ll focus on one of the most challenging aspects of the process – gluing the tiny islands that add incredible detail and character to the map.
The entire process takes about 2 days, including drying time, while my actual labor amounts to around 4-5 hours. We'll also explore whether such a map would make the perfect gift or even a product for sale.
