Big Plans for Everybody is the second album by Let's Active, released in 1986 via IRS Records. By this time, Let's Active had become more or less a solo vehicle for singer, songwriter, and producer Mitch Easter, whom R.E.M. fans may know as co-producer of their debut EP, Chronic Town, as well as their first two albums, Murmur and Reckoning. Beyond that, Easter is well-regarded as an architect of the so-called 80s "jangle pop" sound, continuing in the tradition of 60s guitar pop (the Beatles, the Byrds, etc.) and 70s power pop, particularly that of Big Star. Let's Active also released an EP, Afoot, in 1982—containing perhaps their most well-known song, 'Every Word Means No'—as well as the full-length albums Cypress in 1984 and Every Dog Has Its Day in 1988.
This upload is a direct vinyl rip of the album, with RIAA counterbalancing applied. As such, this is by no means the best way to listen to the album in terms of audio quality. But I only have the LP, so there.
