In this video we transform Great Grandma's old wardrobe into tool and part storage for our workshop! We started by building up and reinforcing the bottom so we could add four casters onto it to let us move it around.
[Quick Note: if you decide to do something similar, make sure you put the wheels on LAST, not first, as much fun as it was to chase around the wardrobe while we were trying to work on it....] After the wheels, we installed our storage racks. We bought two different size storage racks from Harbor Freight, so we only had to assemble the racks and then drill a few holes to secure them in place. We have had the door storage bins for so long that we do not remember where we got them, but something similar can probably be found at hardware or craft stores. They just needed to have screws mounted to hang on, and the retractable doors made a perfect place for them to hang. We may or may not repaint the front at some point to match the rest of the shop, but for now, great grandma's old wardrobe has new life and purpose! :)
