The UK was hit by heavy snow today, with London seeing its first flakes of the season. Amber and yellow warnings are in place as some northern areas face up to 15–25 cm of snow. Meteorologists say rare ‘thundersnow’ is possible in certain regions. As the snow moves south, the country is expected to shift into very cold, frosty conditions later.
It was snowing in London today—my hands completely froze! Meanwhile, one of my students said it felt like “summer” for her because she’s from somewhere colder in Europe. I was standing there shivering like a penguin in the wrong climate, battling wind, snow, and rain all at once! 😇
