🚇 Bangalore’s Blue Line Metro Update: The ORR-Airport Metro Line Progress 🚇

The second most anticipated project in Namma Metro, the Blue Line (ORR–Airport Metro Line), is progressing at a steady pace and is set for completion by December 2027. Divided into two key sections, Phase 2A (Central Silk Board to Krishnarajapura) and Phase 2B (Krishnarajapura to Kempegowda International Airport), the Blue Line will provide a 58.19 km uninterrupted corridor connecting the south with the airport in the north.

The project is progressing well, with Phase 2A at 52.5% completion. Construction on the Krishnarajapura-Airport section has gained speed after a nine-month suspension in 2023. Additionally, the two metro stations within the airport premises, Airport City Station and Airport Terminal Station, are advancing smoothly, with the Terminal station being semi-underground.

Once completed, this line will feature driverless trains with luggage racks and enhanced safety, offering a seamless travel experience for air travelers. This project, initially launched in 2016, is expected to transform commuting in Bangalore, drastically reducing travel time between key locations such as Electronic City and Whitefield.
