It was a hard day for Louisianans affected by #Ida.
It was a long day for our USAR team members and partners who set out early, while the hurricane was still raging in some parts of the state, to begin answering calls for help.
More than 500 people were brought to safety while the same amount were confirmed safe in place and chose to remain there. The bulk of these rescues occurred in the Laplace area.
This critical effort continues on this new day!
