When To Bury The Hope That The Narcissist Will Change

When people aren't getting better after leaving an abusive relationship, it's often because they haven't buried the hope yet. Hanging onto that hope can become toxic when it leads you down the path of insanity and inevitable harm.

Emotional abusers may tell you they are changing or want to change, but look at their actions. Notice what they're doing, not what they're saying. The actions show you in real time if they are changing or continuing to use emotional manipulation tactics. If they are not changing in the here and now, it's time to bury the hope so you can move forward in life.
