ROCKET Otis/Fujitec Traction Elevators (TO BE MODERNIZED) at The Harbour Centre, Vancouver, BC

This was a VERY FUN Elevator!! There are a total of 6 elevators in the Main Bank, 4 Passengers, 1 Parking Elevator, and this 1 Service Elevator. Obviously the others have nicer cabs, but I didn't bother riding or filming them as they are not nearly as FAST OR as EXCITING as this one!!!! This goes OBNOXIOUSLY FAST and is SUPER FUN TO RIDE!!!! It makes lots of INTERESTING NOISES, you can hear the wind whoosh and the counterweights go by, and see the doors shake this goes SOOOOOO FAST!!!! This one goes around 800-1200 FPM. Fujitec did replace the fixtures in the 90s or 2000s with Generic Dewhurst Junk and added call recognition, but according to the Fujitec guys I met at the Pinnacle, the equipment, motors, controllers, and mechanically, they are original Otis from 1976!!!! You can hear the relays click too as you travel!!! These used to have Lexan with disappearing indicators or Touch Sensitive originally. The Parking Elevator still has Lexan call stations on some floors. Sadly, though, when I was here, Fujitec was modding the Glass Observatory Elevators here with MAD BS Fixtures and All New Controllers, Cabs, Machines, equipment (Basically everything!) and these are next on the chopping block. I'm not sure if they have started modding these yet or if they are by now, but these are going bye bye. Hopefully though with the mod they will make them go EVEN FASTER or keep the speed on these!!!! That all being said, let's ride these SUPER FAST Elevators!

Installed: 1977 (Otis Lexan or Touch Sensitive)

Modernized: Circa 1990s or Early 2000s (Fujitec Slap On Mod with New Dewhurst fixtures, call stations and Car Stations, all Mechanical and Electronic equipment, motors and controllers are original to when Otis installed these)

To be modded again very soon in 2018-2019 with all New Fujitec Motors, Controllers, Equipment, Cabs and MAD BS Moon fixtures!!!!
