Presented by #NoFilter, “Araw Na Walang Araw” (A Day Without the Sun) is a 2020 documentary by journalist Jeff Canoy that looks into the immediate aftermath of the Taal Volcano eruption in 2020 and the lives of residents living in what is called “volcano island”. The documentary follows the story of tour guide Nora Aquino and her nephew, Lester, who want to return to the island to save the animals they left behind during the eruption. This is as they grapple with the question on whether they can find a reason to still call Taal island their home and start a new life somewhere else.
