BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) में महायुति (BJP + Eknath Shinde Shiv Sena) की ऐतिहासिक जीत के बाद अब नया मेयर महायुति से ही बनेगा। 15 जनवरी 2026 को हुए चुनावों में महायुति ने 227 सीटों में 118+ सीटें जीतीं (BJP: 89, Shinde Sena: 29), जो बहुमत (114) से ज्यादा है। इससे उद्धव ठाकरे की Shiv Sena (UBT) का 25+ साल पुराना कब्जा खत्म हो गया!

In the elections held on 15 January 2026, Mahayuti won 118 seats out of 227 (BJP: 89, Shinde Sena: 29), which is more than the majority (114). This ended the 25 year old hold of Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT).
