Lala Amarchand Kundra — from Partition’s shadows to a legacy of courage carried by his children.”
Lala Amarchand Kundra was born in pre‑Partition Pakistan, in a land where communities thrived together before borders divided them. His life was marked by resilience, dignity, and devotion to family. He married Jamuna Devi Kundra, a woman of grace and quiet strength. Together, they built a household filled with love and tradition.
But history intervened. In 1947, the Partition of India and Pakistan brought chaos and heartbreak. Amidst the violence and displacement, Jamuna Devi Kundra tragically lost her life, leaving Amarchand to carry forward the family legacy alone. Her absence was deeply felt, yet her spirit remained alive in the children she left behind
He passed away in 1986, but his legacy endures through his courageous sons and daughters.
