James Domine's "Piano Sonata #28 in G major" is a playful series of variations on a theme that invokes successive atmospheres and impressions of other famous pieces. It is left to the listener to discover and/or identify these, which may include music by Haydn, Handel, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Copland. The tune that is the subject of the variations is entitled "Sometimes" and can be heard in its original form as a Country/Folk-Rock entree on the Molay Band album "Waiting For the Bus," never commercially released but nonetheless available online. This song was also featured in the musical version of the play "Tomahawk" that premiered in 2008. Some of the lyrics of the song are reflected in the video.
