Date of Journey - 6th August 2025
Gira Falls - located near Saputara in Gujarat, is a 75-feet-high seasonal waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. It’s especially breathtaking during and after the monsoon, making it a popular stop for travelers on the Saputara–Surat route.
Waghai Botanical Garden, spread across 24 hectares near Saputara, is home to more than 1,400 species of plants, including rare medicinal herbs, bamboo, and decorative plants. It’s a peaceful spot for nature lovers and a popular stop on the Saputara–Surat route.
Dangi Natural Restaurant - We had lunch here, Dangi Thali - Rs 280
CIBART - (Centre for Indian Bamboo Resource and Technology), where local artisans craft beautiful furniture and decorative items from bamboo.
By evening, we reached Surat and checked into Vivotel Rooms & Banquets.

Jani Locho - We had breakfast at the parle point branch - Butter Locho - Rs 70
Dutch Garden - to see the Tapi River, one of India’s rare west-flowing rivers, which originates in Madhya Pradesh, flows through Maharashtra and Gujarat, and drains into the Gulf of Khambhat, just like the Narmada.
Surat Castle - built in the 16th century to protect the city from Portuguese attacks. It reflects the glorious history of Surat as a thriving port city.
Entry Fee - Rs 100 per person
Sasumaa - We had our lunch at this popular restaurant - Rs 340 we enjoyed a mix of Gujarati & Punjabi Thali.
