I TRIED LUNAR TIDES HAIR DYE // And Here's What Happened

I 💗 rocking burgundy hair! But maintaining bright red hair color can be a challenge. So this time I decided to give Lunar Tides Hair Color in CranBaby a try.

I compared it to my current favorite red wine hair dye:
Lime Crime Unicorn Hair in Chocolate Cherry.

IMO, It's the most gorgeous violet-red semi-permanent dye I've found.
I can count on it for beautiful, vibrant color every time.

Plus, it's a great match with wine-red 99J hair extensions, ponytails, and wigs!

But Lime Crime bleeds all over my neck, my pillows, and my hands for weeks.
It even bleeds when you sweat! No bueno.

It fades to a fushia pink, and depending on how often you wash it, needs a touch-up at around 4-5 weeks.

Comparatively, Lunar Tides Cranbaby Hair Dye was initially brilliant and glossy.

However, the color was not quite as vibrant as the Lime Crime.
As you can see in this video, it showed up much better in the sunlight than indoors.

Lunar Tides had much less color bleeding, but at the same time, it faded faster.
After about 3 weeks, the color turned bland and a touch-up was needed.

The prices are relatively the same and at under $20, I would call them affordable.

Considering the length of my hair, I was able to get 3 uses out of the Lunar Tides bottle, compared to approximately 2 uses from the Lime Crime jar.
