Bobby’s cover of “Blue Velvet” became the most successful song on his new album, “Blue on Blue”, when it hit #1 for 3 weeks back in September. Every song on the “Blue on Blue” album has the word “blue” in it including “Mr. Blue”, “Blue Moon” and, of course “Blue on Blue”.

Bobby Vinton will be the second-to-last guest on Bandstand while it is still in Philadelphia when he appears on January 25th. The very last guests in Philly will be Johnny Tillotson and Linda Scott on February 1st and the show will start broadcasting from Hollywood a week later on Feb. 8th.
