👉 • Irish Road Trip in Date Order
Join us (and our cat Milo) on our very first road trip - a full 6 weeks all the way round Ireland's spectacular coastline, from Dublin to Dublin in an anticlockwise direction.
This week we're in County Cork on the Wild Atlantic Way as we explore the ancient Drombeg Stone Circle (Druids Altar) and discover the award-winning Clonakilty Black Pudding factory. We then visit the fascinating West Cork Model Railway Village and the impressive 17th-century Charles Fort in Kinsale. The episode culminates in a magnificent sighting off Dunworley Beach - could that be a whale!?
Later, we grabbed fantastic locally caught fish'n'chips (chips NOT caught!) and visited the historic De Barras Folk Club. The club has a legendary music history, including being frequented by Noel Redding of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, who lived locally and often performed here.
