The writers of many psalms taught believers to sing to the Lord a new song and to praise the Lord with music and dancing, so the purified artistic and cultural styles of all the world’s people will surely be acceptable to the Creator of them all. In his letter to the Ephesian church, the Apostle Paul also encouraged the creation of new Christian arts for worship: “Be filled with the Spirit (of Jesus Christ), speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord.” If a lifestyle of worship is what is required of all Christians, how much more should Cambodian Christians be encouraged to use purified versions of their traditional art forms to worship the Lord Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives.
